HOW DO I REGISTER WITH PLAYABET?

WEBSITE

• Visit www.playabet.co.ke
• Go to register page and click on register
• Input your mobile number starting with either 7 or 07
• Enter a 4 digit numerical PIN, confirm and click on register
• You will, receive a confirmation SMS with the PIN you have chosen
• Your account will be created and you will be required to login with your mobile number and PIN that you created

SMS

• SMS: Send REG, PLAYA or JOIN to 29663
• You will receive an SMS message from Playabet which will include a PIN
• This Playabet PIN is required when logging in to your account on playabet.co.ke (using your mobile number)

LIPA NA MPESA

• Deposit money into Paybill 296630 (Account: Playabet) by following below deposit instructions
• Once deposited, you will receive a Playabet PIN number via SMS.
• Once received you can login on playabet.co.ke using your phone number and PIN.

USSD

• Go to *474#
• Then go to Register
• You will receive an SMS message from Playabet which will include your pin

HOW DO I DEPOSIT?

WEBSITE

• Log in to your PlayaBet account and click on DEPOSIT on the top right corner
• Enter the amount you would like to deposit and click “DEPOSIT” to confirm
• You will receive an approval request from Safaricom, and will need to enter your MPESA PIN to approve

• Send an SMS to 29663 with “D” followed by a space and the amount you wish to deposit (D amount)
• E.g. if you want to deposit 100 Ksh you would SMS: D 100
• You will receive an approval request from Safaricom, and will need to enter your MPESA pin to approve

DEPOSIT WITH LIPA NA MPESA

• Go to MPESA menu, select Lipa Na Mpesa and click Paybill
• Enter 296630 as the Paybill and enter your registered Playabet number as the account number.
• Enter the amount you wish to deposit an input your MPESA pin
• Confirm the transaction

• Enter the amount you wish to deposit,  you will receive an approval request from Safaricom, and will need to enter your MPESA pin to approve.

HOW DO I BET?

WEBSITE

• Log in to playabet.co.ke using your phone number and PIN
• Once logged in, select the games and/or markets you wish to bet on
• Make a prediction by clicking on the relevant match odds.
• You can select more than one bet
• All selections will appear on your betslip (bottom tab)
• On betslip input your stake/bet amount and click “Place Bet”
• You may view your bet details under “Bet History”

SMS

PLACING A SINGLE BET 

To place a single bet you need the following details:

• Game ID
• The prediction (e.g. a 1X2 bet: Home Win = 1, Draw = X, Away Win = 2)
• The Stake Amount

Then send an SMS to 29663 with the bet instructions below:

• SMS Format: GameID#Prediction*Amount

Example:

• A match you has the Game ID 30250. And you predict it will be a Home Win (1) and you want to bet Sh.1000 – then you would send:
• 30250#1*1000 to 29663:

PLACING A MULTI BET

Placing a multi bet by SMS is the same as placing a single bet except you add a “+” between each leg.

To place a multiple bet you need the following details:

• The Game IDs (each leg)
• The prediction for each Game ID
• The Stake Amount

Then send an SMS to 29663 with the bet instructions below:

• GameID1#Prediction+GameID2#Prediction*Amount

Example:

• Customer wants to place a bet on a 3 leg multiple with Game IDs 30250, 30255 & 30260
• They believe all games will be a Draw (X) and you want to bet Sh.1000 – then you would send:
  • 30250#X+30255#X+30260#X*1000 to 29663:

IMPORTANT

1. The bet is deemed to have been placed once the Bet ID has been created by the Playabet system.
2. You will receive confirmation message with the Bet ID via SMS (unless there are network delays)
3. You are limited to 160 characters on SMS, so although 20 leg multiples are allowed on the playabet.co.ke website, it is advisable to keep your multibets shorter (max 15 legs) when using SMS.
4. When sending Games to 29663, not all Game IDs will be returned as there are message length limitations
5. SMS betting is not limited to 1X2, see the codes below

HOW DO I GET GAME IDs?

• Betting by SMS is easy once a customer knows the Game ID.
• Game IDs can be found on the website for each game or by sending the keyword “Games” to 29663
• To start receiving Game Ids on SMS, send the word Games to 29663.You will receive highlighted games via sms, at no cost.

CAN I BET VIA USSD?

WHAT IS WITHHOLDING TAX?

• Withholding Tax is a tax imposed on any winnings obtained through betting.
• PlayaBet is required to, and is responsible for, deducting this tax at the source from winnings made and remitting this deductions to KRA is in compliance with KRA/BCLB Rules and Regulations.
• The Withholding tax percentage to be deducted is 20% as per the tax rate prescribed by the Government of Kenya.

HOW DO I WITHDRAW?

1. While logged in, click on the Menu in top left hand corner
2. Click on Withdraw and chose one of the pre-selected values or enter the amount you would like to withdraw

4. Your Playabet account will be deducted and your MPESA wallet funded with the amount

2. Navigate to “My Account.

4. Enter your current PIN, then your new PIN.

AM I ELIGIBLE TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT?

You must be 18 years and over and have mobile money registered phone number (Safaricom)

Unfortunately you care not able to; the username (your phone number) that you chose during the registration process, cannot be changed once you have created your PlayaBet account.
